摘要：苗怀明主编的《观世相：古典小说里的浮生与世情》一书集11位中青年学者的智慧，以“小说与社会”为核心主题分别创新性解读11部（类）古典小说作品，揭示出古典小说中丰富的社会文化内涵。学者们的解读大体呈现出如下特色：其一，以历史和虚构为切入点，探讨二者对小说成书的作用；其二，选取兼具学术性和普及性的话题，拓宽受众群体；其三，明确古典小说与古代社会文化的互动关系，从古典小说洞察纷繁世情。该书主题鲜明，解读深入，语言通俗，视角新颖，是一本体现出一定学术深度的普及读物，对推动古典小说研究深入化、实现经典作品普及化具有重要价值。

Title: Traceability – Compatibility – Exploration: A Useful Attempt at Thematic Interpretation of Classical Novels——A Review of the book Observations on the World: All Living People and Worldly Situations in Classical Novels, edited by Miao Huaiming
Abstract：The book edited by Miao Huaiming combines the wisdom of eleven young and middle-aged scholars to provide an innovative interpretation of eleven classical novels with the core theme of “Novels and Society”, revealing the rich social and cultural connotations of classical novels. The scholars’ interpretations are generally characterized by the following features: firstly, they take history and fiction as the entry point to explore their roles in the formation of novels; secondly, they select both academic and popular topics to broaden the audience; thirdly, they clarify the interaction between classical novels and ancient society and culture, and gain insights into the world from classical novels. With clear themes, in-depth interpretations, accessible language and novel perspectives, the book is a popular book that reflects a certain academic depth and is of great value in promoting the in-depth study of classical novels and popularizing classical works.
